Unalloyed structural steel - high performance at a low price
The unalloyed structural steel with the designation S235JR is widely used in industry and trade and has stood the test of time. It offers high strength with excellent weldability and can be easily machined by drilling, bending or grinding.
As this steel does not contain any expensive alloy components, it does not have any corrosion protection, but is considerably cheaper. Furthermore, the steel is produced in extremely large quantities due to its popularity, which also has a positive effect on the price.
The lack of corrosion protection can easily be compensated for by painting.
Your advantages:
- Good fit due to individual cut.
- Order conveniently and easily in the online store and have it delivered to your home.
- No waste - you buy exactly as much steel as you need.

Notes
- The material may show superficial scratches due to the manufacturing process.
- The structural steel is not corrosion-resistant and must be protected against rust.
- Hot-rolled tubes may exhibit slight bends along their length.
- Custom-sawn structural steel falls under the term special production. Please note that we do not grant revocation for this item.

Information on product safety:
Safety instructions:
- Danger of cutting! Please note that the rectangular tube may have sharp cut edges. This also applies to tubes for which the "deburring" option has been selected, as in rare cases the work step may have been forgotten and overlooked in quality control. We recommend that you always wear suitable, cut-resistant gloves.
- Risk of rust! The hollow profile is made of uncoated, non-corrosion-resistant structural steel and can rust in a short time. Oxidation can weaken the steel tube and lead to material failure in the long term. For this reason, we recommend applying a protective coating by painting, galvanizing or a comparable process
- Keep away from other metals! Uncoated steel should never be brought into direct contact with other metals or in their immediate vicinity, as contact corrosion or cross-contamination can occur. This can significantly affect both metals, especially stainless steel, as it loses its non-corrosive properties.
- Wear your PPE! Please always wear suitable personal protective equipment appropriate to the process when working on the hollow section.
