Customized aluminium hat rail
The top-hat profile, or often also called top-hat rail, is versatile and can be adapted precisely to your project thanks to our online configurator. It is made especially for you from an aluminum sheet with a material thickness of between 1 mm and 3 mm and bent into the desired shape using the die bending process.
The sheet metal profile has material-related, corrosion-resistant properties that ensure that the material does not start to rust. For this reason, aluminum profiles are very suitable for outdoor applications. Due to their low weight, these profiles are also very popular in vehicle construction, e.g. for the interior fittings of caravans and motorhomes. The profile has a visible side whose surface is reminiscent of polished stainless steel and therefore offers a particularly high-quality look.
Universally applicable
Hat profiles are used in countless areas and industries and are a popular component for various applications. In the construction sector, the profiles are often used as support rails for walls and even ceilings. They are also a popular component in substructures for rear-ventilated façades or floors. In the metal construction sector, however, experience has shown that they are more likely to be used in the following situations.
- Running track embedded in the floor, for lightweight roller shutters, gates and sliding doors
- As a rain gutter in the ground or generally used as a drainage channel
- Cover profile for cable and supply lines
- Spacers for lightweight attachments
- Impact protection on walls or machines
Individually customized
Thanks to our configurator, you can easily design individual hat profiles. The side dimensions as well as the length and even the angles of the individual folds can be selected with millimeter precision. This way, there are hardly any limits and you can create the perfect profile for your project.
If a selected dimension is not technically feasible, the configurator will point this out to you so that you can design your profile completely carefree and according to your ideas. No specialist knowledge is required and you can't break anything. Why don't you give it a try?
Profiles up to 2m long
We can produce and ship any configured profile from 50mm to 2000mm. The unwinding, i.e. the width before the sheet is bent, must not exceed 1000 mm.
Suitable for outdoor use
Our aluminum rails can be used outdoors without any problems, as they offer natural protection against rust. In contrast to stainless steel, the profiles are very easy to clean, but offer an equally attractive surface.

Notes
Despite careful processing, sharp cut edges may occur and the material may show minor scratches or traces of oil. We accept no liability for injuries or damage. Slight bending is possible for lengths from 1000 mm. Please allow for manufacturing tolerances of ± 2 mm in the profile length and ± 1° in the angle.
