Flat steel cut to size from the configurator
Precise, versatile and high-quality - that's what our custom-made flat steel stands for. We manufacture every cut to individual customer dimensions and only use high-quality S235JR structural steel for this. Structural steel is one of the most commonly used types of steel and impresses with its good mechanical properties and high load-bearing capacity. It is often used in mechanical engineering, trade and construction, but is just as suitable for private use in the form of our flat steel cut to size.
Whether for home repairs, as a base plate for furniture or as a connecting element for a structure, the flat bar is manufactured to your exact specifications and offers maximum flexibility.
Any miters
Thanks to our flat steel configurator, you have the option of selecting various miters in addition to the overall length. In this way, you can achieve the most accurate cuts possible without having to make sketches or spend hours on the phone. Simply select the profile, enter the length, define the pattern and order. It couldn't be simpler! The following pattern options are available to you:
- No miters
(We cut both ends at right angles) - One-sided miters
(We provide one side with a miter. You determine the angle of this miter) - Two-sided miters
(We cut both ends at the angle you specify) - Concurrent miters
(Both ends are sawn off with individually configurable miters. The tips are diagonally opposite each other. )
Our configurator also allows you to select a deburring service. When deburring, the cut edges are softened so that you can no longer injure yourself. This service is always recommended if you want to install the material immediately and do not want to process it further.

S235JR - The all-rounder among steels
In the trade, the material is often referred to as "black steel" or "black material" as it has a dark, rough surface. The unalloyed structural steel with grade S235JR (material number 1.0038) is valued above all for its good weldability and excellent machinability. Drilling, sawing, milling, grinding and bending are all easily possible with this metal.
Difference between strip steel and flat steel
In general, there is hardly any difference between the products, as the designation is only defined by the material thickness. Steel strip is used when the bar is thinner than 5mm.

- Danger of cutting! Please note that the flat steel may have sharp cut edges. This also applies to items for which the "deburring" option has been selected, as in rare cases the work step may be forgotten and overlooked in quality control. We recommend that you always wear suitable, cut-resistant gloves.
- Risk of rust! The semi-finished product is made of uncoated, non-corrosion-resistant structural steel and can rust in a short time. Oxidation can weaken the flat steel and lead to material failure in the long term. For this reason, we recommend applying a protective coating by painting, galvanizing or a comparable process
- Keep away from other metals! Uncoated steel should never be brought into direct contact with other metals or in their immediate vicinity, as contact corrosion or cross-contamination can occur. This can significantly affect both metals, especially stainless steel, as it loses its non-rusting properties.
- Wear your PPE! Please always wear suitable personal protective equipment appropriate to the process when working.
