What exactly is a French balcony?
French balcony railings are characterized by their elegance and are attached to the outside of windows or doors. Unlike conventional balconies, they do not provide a platform for walking or lingering, but are mainly used for safety and aesthetics. These balustrades allow floor-to-ceiling windows or doors to be opened without causing a safety risk, as they reliably prevent falls.

Stainless steel is a very popular material for French window grilles due to its outstanding properties. The grilles are robust, durable and corrosion-resistant, which means that, with proper care, they can withstand the elements and retain their aesthetic beauty for long periods of time. The railing kit consists of a handrail, infill struts and wall mounting made entirely of stainless steel and is easy to assemble.

The stainless steel French balcony railing not only impresses with its attractive design, but also provides reliable protection against falling out - an important safety measure, especially for children, pets or people with dementia. The stainless steel railing kit ensures effective protection thanks to the vertical arrangement of the bars, which prevents residents from climbing up. In addition, the spacing between the bars is narrow enough that no head can fit through.
Dimensions
Here you will find all the important dimensions of the balcony. Some data, such as the number of infill bars or the total width of the grille, depend on the dimensions selected. For this reason, we explain in this section how you can calculate these values.
Jamb dimension: 500mm to 2300mm (50cm to 230cm)
Bracket projection: The holes in the wall brackets are 130mm from the reveal.
To obtain the hole dimension, i.e. the distance between the anchor points, add 260mm to the reveal dimension.
Edge projection: The grille protrudes 190mm beyond the reveal on both sides.
To determine the total width of the French balcony, add 380mm to the reveal dimension.
Height: 300mm to 1200mm (30cm to 120cm)
Wall clearance: 50mm
This is the clear dimension, i.e. the distance from the inside of the pipe to the wall.

The number of filler rods depends on the reveal dimensions. The filler bars are centered and arranged at a clear distance of 120mm from each other and cover the entire width of the wall opening.
Simple construction kit principle
The French balcony is supplied as a kit and is very easy to assemble. We provide the two crossbars with filler rod holders and wall brackets so that you only need to insert the filler rods
The filler rods can be easily pushed into the holders and then secured against slipping with the grub screw. The grub screw is pre-assembled in the filler rod holders and has a hexagon socket drive with a wrench size of 2.5.
After all the filler bars have been inserted, the grating can also be anchored in a wall.

The window grilles are produced exactly according to your specified dimensions. Please observe the applicable building regulations in your federal state. The fixing material is not included in the scope of delivery due to the unknown substrate for installation.
