Description
Half-round workshop file 200mm to DIN 7261-E | Cut 1 to 3
This professional workshop file to DIN 7261 (shape E) is exactly the all-round tool you need to meet the highest demands in industry and trade. Thanks to the semicircular geometry and the double-sided cut, you can work on flat surfaces just as easily as radii or openings. The spade-shaped filing teeth are a particular highlight. This innovative tooth shape enables maximum material removal with minimum effort, which ensures particularly efficient and energy-saving work. The ergonomic 2-component handle provides the necessary control. It offers a non-slip feel and optimum power transmission, even under difficult conditions. With a working length of 200 mm, the file is perfectly balanced and is ideal for deburring, shaping and flattening steel or non-ferrous metals.
Depending on the desired surface finish, choose between cut 1 (coarse) for quick removal, cut 2 (medium) for universal use or cut 3 (fine) for the perfect finish.
Technical data:
- File body material: Alloyed tool steel
- Handle material: 2-component plastic handle
- Chop number: Depending on selection in chop 1 (coarse/bastard), chop 2 (medium/semi-finish) or chop 3 (fine/finish)
- Application: Cut 1 (roughing-high stock removal), cut 2 (universal-medium-fine) or cut 3 (finishing-smoothing)
-
Length of file body: 200mm
(The length without the handle) -
Handle length: 120mm
(only the handle length) -
Total length: 320mm
(The complete length of the workshop file with handle) - Standard: Depending on selection DIN 7261-E200-1, 2 or 3
Areas of application
The half-round workshop file is a versatile precision tool for processing a wide variety of workpieces. The combination of flat and curved sides makes it suitable for flat surfaces as well as curves and hard-to-reach areas. Here are some typical applications:
-
Processing of radii & curves:
ideal for shaping, reworking and smoothing inner and outer radii, e.g. B. for pipes, bends or curved components -
Deburring of drill holes & openings:
reliably removes sharp edges and burrs in openings, cut-outs or slotted holes -
Surface finishing:
the flat side is suitable for leveling and smoothing flat metal surfaces and for adjusting fitting surfaces -
Metalworking & metal construction:
perfect for reworking weld seams, adjusting components and finishing structures -
Repair & maintenance:
for reworking damaged or worn areas and for restoring accurately fitting connections -
Workshop & hobby area:
universally applicable for DIY projects, model making or individual metalworking
What is the difference between the various DIN 7261 shapes?
DIN 7261 classifies workshop files into different letters based on their cross-sectional shape, with shapes A and B being used for flat surfaces and edges, while shapes C and D are used for triangular and square edges respectively. Square-edged profiles are used for angles and openings. The semicircular shape E and the round shape F are intended for processing curves, holes or radii, while the knife-shaped shape G is specially designed for very acute angles. In addition to this geometric shape, the cut number from 1 to 3 also determines whether the file removes material roughly or is suitable for fine surface smoothing.
