Description
Nibbling tin snips 240mm for clean results - with plastic handle
You are probably familiar with the problem of having to cut sheet metal to size, but the conventional tin snips bend the material, leave ugly burrs or crush the edge so badly that you have to spend time with a file afterwards? This will never happen with these nibbling shears, because the special thing about these tin snips is the nibbling principle. Instead of simply pushing the material apart, the shears punch a narrow chip out of the sheet, which leads to clean results. In short, it cuts sheet metal burr-free up to a material thickness of 1.2 mm. It is also ideal for aluminum, copper and plastic.
Thanks to the integrated locking mechanism, you can lock the tool securely in one easy step when you have finished work and store it in your toolbox or simply hang it up thanks to the hanging hole. The 240 mm long nibbling shears sit particularly securely in your hand and the high-quality dip-insulated handles prevent slipping and ensure optimum power transmission so that your hands do not tire so quickly, even on longer projects.

- Special features: Enables burr-free, clean cuts without sheet metal deformation
Areas of application
The nibbling tin snips are far more than just ordinary scissors. Wherever precision is required in a confined space and the material must not be deformed, it is the tool of choice. Thanks to the clever punching technology, you can master tasks where conventional tools often reach their limits.
-
For car workshops & body shops
for clean cutting of repair panels for sills or wheel arches. As the sheet remains flat, there is no need for tedious straightening before welding -
For cables & wires
the existing stripping recess makes it easy to remove plastic sheathing from copper cables -
For housing & electrical construction
create clean cut-outs for your switches or fans in switch cabinets or aluminum housings. A pre-drilled hole is all you need as a starting point for your interior cut-outs -
For heating & sanitary construction
you can easily cut plastic pipes, cable ducts or thin-walled metal profiles burr-free and without splintering -
For roofing & sprinkler work
ideal for working on flashings, gutters or downpipes made of copper and zinc. The so-called cold cut protects sensitive coatings from corrosion -
For model making & hobby
whether polycarbonate for model making or fine perforated sheets for your design projects, the fine guide allows you to create even complex curves and radii
What does "hardness up to 85 HRB" actually mean?
This value indicates how hard the sheet metal may be so that the shears do not capitulate. The "Rockwell B" (HRB) scale is mainly used for softer to medium-hard metals. At 85 HRB, the limit is in a range that is perfect for typical materials such as aluminum, copper or normal structural steel. Many stainless steel sheets can also be handled well as long as they are not specially hardened.
