Description

The table frame for your garden

The metal frame is specially designed for use in the home garden and has a zinc layer that reliably protects the steel from harmful environmental influences and corrosion. Thanks to the professional fire galvanization, the material has an extremely long service life and an impressive resistance to weathering and wetness. Often, galvanized steels, despite outdoor use, are far over 50 years old.

The frame is made in our family business in loving handmade work, made of high-quality S235JR construction steel and especially according to your measurements and completely welded. In this way, the steel frame, despite its slim and minimalistic appearance, has a load capacity of more than 150Kg. The individual dimensional work ensures an accurate fit and allows you to create very special DIY projects. Thus, the table frame not only stands for planting tables, dining tables or garden set, but can also be used as a base for vases, busts or other works of art.

Information on product safety:

Warning notices:

  • Max. 200kg! The maximum load capacity of the table frame is 200 kg and must not be exceeded.
  • Use suitable screws! Be sure to use suitable and sufficient screws to connect the table frame to the table top. If you are unsure which screws you need for your table top, please consult a specialist dealer.

Assembly instructions:

Fastening the table frame to a tabletop is usually child's play and can be done in no time at all. In the following, we describe the procedure for a standard glulam table top. Please note that the assembly procedure may differ for other boards. In this case, ask the manufacturer of the table top for advice.

Please read the instructions carefully before starting assembly.

Material:

  • Ruler (folding rule) or tape measure
  • Pencil
  • Stainless steel screws
  • Drill
  • Twist drill (suitable for the screws)
  • Screwdriver

Step by step instructions:

  1. Lay the table top on the floor and use a soft carpet pad (e.g. a carpet) to protect the wood from scratches. The underside of the table top, i.e. the side to which the table frame is attached, should now be facing upwards.
  2. Place the frame upside down on the tabletop so that the fixing points of the table frame are against the wood.
  3. Slide the table frame into the center of the tabletop and measure the edge distances of all four corners to place it evenly on the tabletop.
  4. Transfer the mounting holes of the frame to your tabletop. To do this, simply run the pencil along the inside of all the holes and draw small circles on the tabletop. Depending on the pencil you choose, you may end up with individual dots in the middle of the holes instead of circles, which is also fine.
  5. Now carefully place the table frame to one side.
  6. Then drill small, vertical holes in the wood in the middle of the markings. These holes ensure that the wood does not split when the screws are screwed in and must have the correct diameter and be aligned at right angles to the surface. The diameter depends on the screws selected and can be obtained from a specialist retailer. It is also important to ensure that the holes are drilled sufficiently deep, but not completely through. This step requires special attention, as you could inadvertently drill through the entire table top and thus damage the visible side of the table top.
  7. Place the table frame back on the tabletop and align the fixing holes in the runner with the corresponding holes in the tabletop.
  8. Now screw the screws through the fixing holes of the frame into the wood of the table top and tighten them. Be careful not to use too much force, as the screws could turn and become unusable.
