Description
Alu hat rail made of tear sheet
The hat profile, or often also called hat rail, is versatile and can be adapted precisely to your project thanks to our online configurator. It is made from an aluminum sheet with a material thickness of 1.5/2.0mm, especially for you and brought into the desired shape with the die bending method.
The indication of the sheet thickness is based on the basic thickness and the material thickness at the elevations. In this case, the sheet is 1.5mm thick, if the points at which the elevations are located are 2mm thick.
The sheet metal profile has material-related, corrosion-resistant properties that ensure that the material does not begin to rust. For this reason, aluminum profiles are very suitable for outdoor applications. Due to the low weight, however, these profiles are also very desirable in vehicle construction, for example for the interior construction of caravans and motorhomes. The profile has a visible side whose surface is provided with regular elevations. When the profile is mounted on the ground, these elevations, also tears, or ruffles, provide a particularly good hold.
Universally applicable
Hat profiles are incorporated in countless areas and industries and are a popular component for various applications. In the construction area, the profiles are often used as support rail for walls and even ceilings. They are also a popular component in substructures for back-ventilated facades or floors. Experience has shown that in the metal construction sector, you are rather used in the following customizations.

Customised
Thanks to our configurator, they can easily create individual hat profiles. Both the lateral dimensions, as well as the length and even the angles of the individual bends can be selected to be millimeter-precise. In this way you are barely bound and you can create the perfect profile for your project.
If a chosen measure is not technically feasible, the configurator will inform you so that you can design your profile very easily and according to your ideas. No expertise is needed and you can't break anything. Try it!
Profiles up to 2m length
We can produce and ship any configured profile from 50mm to 2000mm. The winding, i.e. the width before the sheet is bent, may be at most 1000 mm.
Suitable for outdoor use
Our aluminium bars can be used without any problems in the outdoor area, as they have a natural protection against grate. In contrast to stainless steel, the profiles are very easy to maintain, but offer an equally attractive surface.

Despite careful processing, sharp cutting edges can occur, and the material can have smaller scratches or oil traces. We assume no liability for injury or damage. Light bending is possible for lengths from 1000mm. Please consider manufacturing tolerances of ± 2mm in profile length and ± 1° at angle.

- Caution, risk of cutting! The sheet metal profile could have sharp cutting edges that could cut you. As we do not know what form the profiles will be used in, we are unfortunately unable to deburr them without interfering with any welding seam preparations. For this reason, we recommend wearing cut-resistant gloves!
- Keep away from other metals! Aluminum should never be brought into direct contact with other metals because contact corrosion can occur. Contact corrosion can weaken both the aluminum and the other metal. Only process with respiratory protection! Aluminum should only be processed with appropriate respiratory protection, as aluminum dust has health risks.
- Weld only with fume extraction! Aluminum may only be welded with an appropriate fume extraction system and using suitable respiratory protection. The gases produced during welding can cause severe health damage.
