Assembly instructions:

Attaching the table runner to a table top is usually child's play and can be done in no time at all. In the following, we describe the procedure for a commercially available laminated wood table top. Please note that the installation procedure may differ for other boards. In this case, ask the manufacturer of the table top for advice.

Please read the instructions carefully before starting assembly.

Material:

• Ruler (folding rule) or tape measure
• Pencil
• Stainless steel screws
• Drill
• Twist drill (suitable for the screws)
• Screwdriver

Step by step instructions:

1. Lay the tabletop on the floor and use a soft carpet pad (e.g. a carpet) to protect the wood from scratches. The underside of the tabletop, i.e. the side to which the table runner is attached, should now be facing upwards.
2. Place the table runner upside down on the tabletop so that the fixing points of the runner are against the wood.
3. Slide the table runner onto the place where you want to attach it. Measure the distances from the table runner to the outer edges of the table top to orientate yourself and create a symmetrical overall picture.
4. Transfer the mounting holes of the table runner to your tabletop. To do this, simply run the pencil along the inside of all the holes and draw small circles on the tabletop. Depending on the pencil you choose, you may end up with individual dots in the middle of the holes instead of circles, which is also fine.
5. Now carefully place the table runner to one side.
6. Then drill small, vertical holes in the wood in the middle of the markings. These holes ensure that the wood does not split when the screws are screwed in and must have the correct diameter and be aligned at right angles to the surface. The diameter depends on the screws selected and can be obtained from a specialist retailer. It is also important to ensure that the holes are drilled sufficiently deep, but not completely through. This step requires special attention, as you could inadvertently drill through the entire table top and thus damage the visible side of the table top.
7. Place the table runner back on the tabletop and align the fixing holes in the runner with the corresponding holes in the tabletop.
8. Now screw the screws through the fixing holes of the table runner into the wood of the table top and tighten them. Be careful not to use too much force, as the screws could turn and become unusable.
9. If necessary, repeat the steps for additional table runners.

Care instructions:

Please note that stainless steel table runners must be cleaned and maintained at regular intervals. If this care is not carried out, or only insufficiently, the material may lose its rust-proof properties. You can use commercially available, non-acidic cleaning agents for cleaning. Please also note that the occurrence of occasional flash rust, especially in outdoor areas, cannot be ruled out. Flash rust should be removed as quickly as possible to avoid any damage to the material.
