Our handmade high-beet made of 3mm corten steel is a true eye-catcher in your garden or on the terrace and will make every gardener heart beat faster. Due to the stable wall thickness of 3mm corten steel, the high-beet is characterized by exceptional stability and quality, which will give you long-lasting pleasure.
We customize your high beds to your personal requirements so you can get the perfect solution for your garden. Thus, the metal high beet can be fitted as well into existing niches as can be positioned on a free surface. The length you can choose between 500mm and 2000mm free and the width between 500mm and 1000mm. The height is also configurable and allows a desired size between 300mm and 800mm. You can therefore make yourself a high-bed of up to 2m2 without effort, on which you can work comfortably standing.
Please note that Cortenstahl is a very heavy metal, which gives the high-beet a weight of ~20kg to ~140kg, depending on the dimensions chosen. Although the high weight is a clear inidiz for the good quality and promises a particularly long shelf life, it should be taken into account when choosing the storage location. At this point, we would also like to explicitly point out that the delivery by the forwarding only takes place "free edge of the curb".
What exactly is Cortenstahl?
Corten steel, also known as weatherproof steel or COR-TEN steel, is a special type of steel alloy. Its outstanding weather resistance and the characteristic rostrote patina make it unique. The term “corrosion resistance” derives from the words “corrosion resistance” and “tensile strength” which indicates the specific properties of this alloy. The following paragraph lists the main features:
- Weather resistance: Cortensteel forms a protective grate layer on the surface that protects the underlying material from further corrosion. This grate layer forms over time and gives the steel a characteristic raw color
- Longevity: Due to its high weather resistance and corrosion resistance, corten steel is particularly durable and requires less care compared to conventional steel

What does the term "Patina"?
The patina is a natural oxide layer which forms on the surface of metals such as corten steel. This results from chemical reactions with ambient air and moisture, gives the metal a characteristic coloration and protects it from further corrosion. In the case of corten steel, the rust patina adopts a raw color and serves as a protective layer against progressive corrosion. This effect is achieved after about 6 months.
What distinguishes a highbed from a conventional beet?
A high beet or also herbal beet and veggie beet is different from a traditional, flat beet due to its increased construction. High beds allow early cultivation and extend the harvest time by effective heat storage. When planting, you are independent of soil quality and can largely dispense with fertilizers. The rotting of organic components creates valuable, nutrient-rich humus which releases heat and nutrients to promote optimal plant growth in the uppermost layer of the earth. Another advantage is that there are fewer weeds in the high bed, as the majority of the seed flight takes place at ground level.
