The EGOFERM butyl cord offers simple craftsmanship and is immediately functional. It is permanently self-adhesive and solvent-free. The material is bitumen-free, odor-free and physiologically acceptable. It is compatible with bitumen and does not corrode. Thanks to its plastic properties, it is easy to shape and self-welding. The butyl cord is volume-resistant and has a low noise and isolating effect. It is waterproof, water resistant and has a high water vapor diffusion resistance. It is also resistant to ageing, weather-resistant and UV-resistant, which allows long-term use. The good adhesion and compatibility with most known materials ensures a versatile use. The EGOFERM butyl cord meets the requirements according to the IVD leaflet No. 5 and has an almost unrestricted service life when applied in a proper manner.
The application areas of the EGOFERM butyl cord are diverse.
