Warnings

  • Caution! The sheets may have sharp edges that could cut you. As these sheet metal remnants are generally used for practicing welding procedures, we are unfortunately unable to deburr them without interfering with any welding seam preparations. For this reason, we recommend wearing cut-resistant gloves!
  • Keep away from other metals! Stainless steel should never be brought into direct contact with other metals, or in their immediate vicinity, because contact corrosion or cross-contamination can occur. Contact corrosion and cross-contamination can weaken the metals concerned and impair the stainless steel's non-corrosive properties.
  • Only work with respiratory protection! Stainless steel should only be processed with appropriate respiratory protection, as metal dust poses health risks.
  • Only weld with fume extraction! Stainless steel should only be welded with an appropriate fume extraction system and using suitable respiratory protection. The gases produced during welding can cause serious damage to health.
  • Care required! Please note that stainless steel must be cleaned regularly and generally cared for. Otherwise the material may lose its stainless properties!
  • Risk of rusting! This stainless steel has only a low resistance to chemicals and acids in particular. For this reason, we must advise against using it in aggressive environments, as it damages the corrosion protection and could lead to material failure. For example, it is not recommended for use near pools, in cities with high levels of air pollution and in places in the immediate vicinity of the sea!
  • Not suitable for load-bearing structures! These sheet sections must not be used for load-bearing structures as they may be cross-contaminated, which significantly reduces their corrosion resistance.

Care instructions

Please note that stainless steel must be cleaned and maintained at regular intervals. If this care is not carried out, the material may lose its non-corrosive properties. You can use commercially available, non-acidic cleaning agents for cleaning. Please also note that the occurrence of occasional flash rust cannot be ruled out. Flash rust should be removed as quickly as possible to avoid any damage to the material.
