Steel screw with metric thread
The screw made of bare steel, like any other screw, is versatile. It has an M6 thread, with a pitch of 1mm, so you can easily be combined with common M6 nuts. The lens head, also called semi-circular head screw, does not know its own corrosion protection, which is why your area should be chosen carefully.
Without corrosion protection
Although the lack of grate protection is often a disadvantage, we see a strength in it. Thus, we use this screw with preference for connections of Cortenstahl, since the rusty overall image is not disturbed by shiny screw heads. Since the screw itself, however, does not consist of corten, it will naturally suffer from grate attack and its structural integrity is significantly influenced. In order that this material fatigue is not at risk, we use this screw only at places that are insignificant for statics. If you are planning a comparable application area, here is a secret tip: wet the thread, before assembly with some silicone. In this way, the shaft of the screw is better protected and the service life is increased.
