Galvanized outdoor handrail made of flat steel
This custom-made handrail made of square flat steel is ideal for outdoor use thanks to its robust zinc plating. The handrail is made on the basis of your dimensions and then professionally galvanized. In this process, the inner and outer handrail is completely covered with zinc, thereby shielding it against environmental influences over many decades and protecting it from corrosion.
Thanks to our configurator, the handrail is a children's game. Simply choose a desired color, enter length and place it in the shopping cart. Our online shop shows them at any time, the corresponding price. With us you can buy your customised handrail online and very simple, without hidden costs.
Customised for perfect fit
Handrails with individual lengths are often required in the outdoor area. Be it in the garden for the cellar staircase or for the outside staircase at the entrance door, thanks to our custom made, they get the optimal fit for your application.
The handrail is equipped with up to 3 firmly welded holders which offer a clear wall spacing of about 55mm. In addition, the handrail carriers have a mounting plate with a diameter of 70mm. In this 6mm thick plate there are two 8mm holes, which are about 50mm away from each other.
With a length of up to 2000mm, two handrail holders 125mm are placed by the handrails. With a larger length up to 2500mm, a further holder is installed in the middle.
Long-life corrosion protection due to fire galvanization
After we have built your handrail in loving handwork, we let it be galvanized by a specialist company. The handrail is completely immersed in liquid zinc, whereby a particularly robust protective layer is deposited on the material surface. This zinc layer reliably protects the steel against corrosion, so they do not have to worry about rust. This protection is also preserved in the event of minor damage, since the galvanization of fire has "self-healing" properties.
Another advantage of galvanizing: She's very easy to care. In contrast to stainless steel pipes, the galvanized handrails do not need regular cleaning to maintain corrosion protection because they are less susceptible to flying grates and similar corrosion.
Easy mounting thanks to stable design
Due to the tightly welded handrails, our handrails are particularly easy to install. Mounting to second can be completed in a few minutes and can also be carried out by people with hardly any experience. Simply hold the handrail to the wall at a height of about 900mm and make sure that this right is, depending on the application, or the course of the stairs follows. Now mark the holes of the support plates on the wall and place drilled dowels at these points. Then you can also screw the handrail with the wall.
Selection of different finishes
For this stair handrail we offer you an assortment of different colored powder coatings. Whether black, anthracite, gray or even without colored coating, the choice is with you. In any case, the handrail is suitable for the outside, since the optional powder coating, in this case is only cosmetic.

Scope
A handrail with welded brackets made of construction steel. It is made of flat iron and then galvanized.
Further features
Why is the handrail more expensive than a stainless steel handrail?
Unfortunately, the misalignment remains stubborn, that galvanized steel is always cheaper than stainless steel. For larger constructions, this assumption may also often be true, especially when these are constructed from work-side galvanized profiles, but this is not the case especially with smaller, welding-intensive products. This is due to the fact that these first are made of uncoated steel and are only then galvanized. Most metal producers are dependent on special specialist companies and cannot carry out the post-processing internally. Very different in stainless steel. This can be easily and quickly completed in own operation, accentuate, pollate or otherwise, so that costs due to partner companies and logistical additional costs are eliminated.
Galvanized steel vs. Stainless steel - What is better?
Unfortunately, there is no flat-rate answer to this question, since the two materials have different advantages and disadvantages, which are more or less important depending on the application. Thus, in handrails it is strongly dependent on where they are attached. If you are looking for a handrail for a highly frequented area, which should look particularly high quality and can be regularly maintained, we recommend a stainless steel handrail. This would be the case, for example, with a handrail for the input region or with a handrail for the main staircase. At cellar stairs in the garden it looks different. These are rarely used, especially in winter, and are often exposed to extreme weather conditions. In addition, these areas are often also less well maintained, so that a galvanized handrail is offered at this point. These are less maintenance intensive and their corrosion protection is not dependent on regular cleaning.
What is corrosion protection?
To answer this question, we must first clarify what corrosion is at all. Corrosion is the decomposition of metal which is formed by the reaction with oxygen. In steel, this process is called "rosten" by hand. The corrosion protection thus causes the material to no longer react with the ambient oxygen and thus prevents the grate of the steel.
Why max 2.5m length?
Especially for this article this has several reasons. On the one hand, the high weight of about 5kg/m, which makes the shipping of lengths over 2.5m extremely expensive and thus unprofitable. On the other hand, for logistical reasons, we can only coat lengths up to 2.5m.
Where does the long delivery time come from?
The long delivery time is due to the galvanization of an external specialist company. Delivery times of several weeks are quite common in the coating industry. This has various logistic reasons that we unfortunately have no influence on. Thus we are forced to take over the delivery times for coating.
