We offer a fire-galvanized steel handrail to measure, it is made from a 42,4x2mm round tube with the designation S235JR. To ensure greater stability, the handrail carriers are firmly welded to the handrail. In addition, we offer a powder coating in the colors black, gray or anthracite, you can select the colors as usual in our configurator. Our experienced craftsmen manufacture your handrails with great care in our own workshop here in Germany and always use only read materials from well-known manufacturers.

Since the handrail is galvanized, we introduce so-called galvanizing holes on the handrails. These have a diameter of 8mm, are hidden on the underside and are necessary for technical reasons for the coating.

Individual adjustments easily implemented

With our configurator, ordering is done quickly and easily. You have the possibility to enter your desired length of 500-2500mm in adultchritten, as an additional highlight you can choose a colourful selection of powder coatings. For suitable protection at the ends of the handrail, you can opt for welded semi- hollow balls, welded slightly curved end caps or for laminated stoppers made of PE plastic in black or gray. This not only provides a suitable protection against injuries, but prevents the penetration of dirt or the like into the handrail. For handrails with a total length of up to 2000mm, two handrail carriers are used, each of which is placed 125mm offset by the handrails. For longer handrails from 2001mm to 2500mm, a third holder is additionally installed in the middle.

What is a powder coating?

Why a powder coating with galvanized handrails?

Fast and easy to mount

The assembly is very simple and simple in this metal handrail. The firmly welded carriers allow effortless installation to be twofold. Simply hold the handrail at a height of about 900 mm (measured from the front edge of the step) to the wall, make sure that the handrail follows the slope of the stairs, and transfer the holes of the welded holders to the wall. Finally, only drills that put dowels and screw the handrail. And you already have a suitable grip to support your home. Delivery is ready for installation with the desired end caps and holders.

Why isn't the handrail much cheaper than the stainless steel handrail?

The material only makes up a fraction of the item price. The largest part arises from the personnel costs for production, which are almost identical for both handrails. In addition, the steel handrail holders are more expensive to purchase due to lower demand.

Why a maximum length of 2.5m?

There are several reasons for this article in particular. On the one hand, the high weight of approx. 5kg/m, which makes shipping lengths over 2.5m extremely expensive and therefore unprofitable. On the other hand, for logistical reasons we can currently only have lengths up to 2.5m coated.

What is corrosion protection?

To answer this question, we first have to clarify what corrosion actually is. Corrosion is the decomposition of metal caused by reaction with oxygen. With steel, this process is colloquially called “rusting”. The corrosion protection means that the material can no longer react with the ambient oxygen and thus prevents the steel from rusting.

What is hot-dip galvanizing and why do you need the galvanizing holes?

Hot-dip galvanized steel is particularly robust and corrosion-resistant. The surface is well suited for use on basement stairs, but also for garden stairs. The galvanizing holes are used in steel structures to ensure good adhesion of the zinc coating. These are used to ensure that the zinc can penetrate into cavities and corners during the galvanizing process in order to form an even and effective protective layer.
