Stainless steel railing posts with cross bar holder

Warning notices:

• Unsuitable for children! Due to the large distances between the filler bars and their horizontal alignment, a railing with these posts is unsuitable for children! They could fall between the filler bars or climb over the railing with the help of the filler bars. Only use the posts in places that are inaccessible to children or for purely visual purposes!
• Installation by qualified personnel only! We generally recommend that installation is carried out by trained specialists.
• No professional fall protection! Due to the horizontal filling bars and their distance from each other, railings are not considered to be professional fall protection in Germany.
• Use suitable fastening material! Only use fixing materials that are suitable for your substrate. Screws, dowels and/or heavy-duty anchors must match your floor and be suitable for stainless steel.
• Danger of falling! Always ensure suitable fall protection. This applies in particular if you are temporarily installing the posts without glass panes.
• Use filling bars! Please never use the mullion without filler rods.
• Follow the care instructions! Please note that stainless steel must be cleaned regularly and generally cared for. Otherwise the material may lose its rustproof properties.
• Risk of rust! This stainless steel has only a low resistance to chemicals and acids in particular. For this reason, we advise against using it in aggressive environments, as it damages the corrosion protection and could lead to material failure. For example, use near pools, in cities with high levels of air pollution and in places in the immediate vicinity of the sea is not recommended!

Installation instructions:

Before starting installation, please read the following instructions carefully.

Post installation:

1. Place the post in the desired position. Pay attention to the alignment of the handrail saddle and the filler rods. Special care is required here. If the filler rod holders are not perfectly aligned, you could have problems attaching the filler rods.
2. Carefully lift the cover grating from the post and mark the holes in the base plate on the floor.
3. Now place the post to one side.
4. Drill the marked holes and insert the selected fixing material according to the manufacturer's instructions.
5. Return the post to its position and hand-tighten the fixing material.
6. Align the post
7. Screw the post in place and observe any manufacturer's instructions for the mounting material. Ensure that the post remains aligned.

Install the filler rods:

1. First make sure that the posts are firmly anchored.
2. Loosen both grub screws of the filler rod holders on the post so that the hole for the filler rod is through and the holders can be turned but not completely removed.
3. Slide the filler rods into the holders on the post.
4. Tighten both grub screws of the holders so that the filler rods are reliably secured against slipping and twisting.

Attach the handrail:

Below we describe how you can attach a handrail to the post.

1. Place the handrail on the post and attach it to the saddle with adhesive tape.
2. Make sure that the handrail is aligned according to your wishes and that it is flush with the saddle.
3. Mark the position of the holes in the saddle on the handrail tube.
4. Remove the handrail from the post and place it on the shipping carton.
5. Now drill the threaded holes at the marked points on the handrail tube.
6. Place the handrail back on the post and screw it in place.

Care instructions:

Please note that the stainless steel post must be cleaned and maintained at regular intervals. If this maintenance is not carried out, or only insufficiently, the material may lose its rust-proof properties. You can use commercially available, non-acidic cleaning agents for cleaning. Please also note that the occurrence of occasional flash rust cannot be ruled out. Flash rust should be removed as quickly as possible to avoid any damage to the material.
