galvanized window screens to measure
Our window gratings are individually built according to your dimensions and reliably quench potential burglars. Due to its robust design, this break-in protection contributes significantly to building safety and makes unauthorized penetration into your premises more difficult.
Invest in the safety of your home and install our galvanized screens to measure. Thanks to their zinc plating, the protective grids are particularly durable and easy to maintain. Due to the production according to your information, you can easily retrofit the grid as a break-in protection without having to worry about the dimensions.

Effective break-in protection for your windows
Window gratings are considered effective burglary protection for several reasons:
-
Physical barrier: For burglars, window gratings constitute an obstacle which can generally only be eliminated with corresponding tools. However, this takes time and causes noise, a combination that most perpetrators want to avoid.
-
Deterrent: Window grids not only act deterring due to the increased burglary effort, they also signal an increased vigilance. In addition, make sure that the resident has made further security measures such as cameras or the installation of an alarm system.
-
Resistance to lightweight tools: Most burglars are only equipped with lightweight tools such as screwdrivers and bolt cutters, as they are usually sufficient to penetrate into buildings and do not stop them in flight due to their low weight. However, these tools are ineffective against window screens.
Stable and durable thanks to galvanized steel
We build our window gratings from high quality construction steel with the short name S235JR. This steel is probably the most popular material in crafts and is highly appreciated for its good qualities. It is sturdy and comfortable to process, but it keeps impressive forces out so that it is a good choice for protecting your windows.
Since construction steel does not have natural corrosion protection and starts to rust accordingly quickly, all steel grids are professionally galvanized with us. The steel is covered with a durable zinc layer that protects the material from harmful environmental influences and reliably protects it from rust. By means of the zinc layer, the window gratings can also be applied to locations with high humidity, e.g. on the cellar window. Another advantage, especially with regard to cellar windows, is that the galvanization is extremely low in maintenance and hardly needs care.
Solid welded filler bars
In order for the burglary protection to be able to reliably protect the house and the premises, he must be able to withstand in extreme cases also brutal violence. For this reason, all filling rods are completely welded to the transverse bars. In this way, the grid receives an extremely high stability and resistance force against levers, crushers and other tools.
Contacting optics by powder coating
To ensure that the metal screen fits as well as possible with your building, we offer an optional powder coating in the colors black, anthracite and gray.
In powder coating, the window fuse is coated with an electrostatic powder which is subsequently fused in an oven to form a uniform, plastic-like coating. This creates a uniform, smooth surface in your desired color.
Even if the coating is not required for corrosion resistance in this case, we recommend buying the break-in protection powder-coated. The reason for this is the refractory zinc plating, which initially has a metallic glossy surface, but quickly obtains a matte, gray appearance. This is a natural process which is accelerated by weathering and cannot be avoided. The powder coating covers this reliably and ensures a consistent appearance in the long term, which is often desired in the private sector.
Dimensions and characteristics of your new window grid
In this section, you will find all the important characteristics and dimensions of your new window grating.
-
Nominal width: 500mm to 2200mm (50cm to 220cm)To determine the total width, i.e. the external dimension, please add 40mm to the selected nominal width
-
Nominal height: 300mm to 1150mm (50cm to 115cm)To determine the overall height, i.e. the external dimension, please add 40mm to the selected nominal height
-
Wall distance: 50mmThis is the clear dimension, i.e. the distance between the railing inner side up to the wall.
-
Hole diameter (wall brackets): Ø11mm
-
Profile tube crossbar: 40x40x2mm
-
Square profile filler bars: 12x12mm (full material)
-
Filling rod spacing: 120mm
-
Number of filling rods: 3 to 16 piecesThe number of filling rods results from the nominal width. They are arranged centrally and at a clear distance of 120 mm from one another.
Safe mounting with tear-off nut
For your windows to be well protected, special care is provided during assembly. It should be noted here that the grids are connected to the wall in a non-detachable manner so that they cannot simply be unscrewed again. Unfortunately, there are countless substrates with different types of fastening, which makes it impossible for us to provide a universal assembly.
Instead, four M10 nuts are included. These can be combined with many mounting materials and ensure that the window lock is permanently fastened.
The tear-off nut consists of stainless steel and has a round shaft and a hexagon head with a key width 17 which are connected to one another via a predetermined breaking point. As soon as you pull the nut with a torque of 30 to 40 Nm, the head breaks off so that only the round shaft remains to fix the workpiece. Due to its shape, the shaft can be loosened only with difficulty since it is difficult to pack on the one hand and on the other hand is embedded in the wall bracket.
Scope
- 1x galvanized window grating with welded filling bars
